Sydney Indesign – It’s a wrap!
This August, Made By Pen launched (in the safety of a cage) the first glimpse of
‘Sway’, the second design by Nick Rennie for the design house. Joining the team
of collaborators was Helen Kontouris with her interpretation of the trusted lazy
Susan, ‘Field’. Along with the existing product range, these two gems have made
quite the impact at Sydney Indesign 2017 event.

Sway, fun in its design, clever in its execution. The name is derived from its
round base allowing a swaying motion when knocked. As a cordless and
chargeable floor lamp, Sway can be moved easily to fit in any space and avoid
unsightly wiring. Perfect for any living space or breakout area.

Field, inspired by agricultural fields carved into cultivated landscapes.
With a rich background with sharing food and bringing families together, this
functional, three-level sculptural piece, will create a focal point for any style of
dining space.

Made By Pen have taken the original Jim Hannon-Tan design and worked with
the Clan Collective to develop a new resin range of attachments. Clan Collective
are a Melbourne based studio creating interesting marbled colour combinations,
bespoke for Linea.

But the showstopper was the light installation by the creative team from
Meanwhile in Melbourne and Made By Pen. This game-like piece allowed
the highly engaged attendees of SID17 to Click and Connect. If you loved it, vote
for it!
